Peak Oil Debrief Grand Rapids
– Thursday, June 19th
Professor Kenneth Piers will summarize peak oil as a refresher for new
comers. Piers has been the Professor of Chemistry at Calvin College since
1968. Professor Piers is a scientist, and a teacher, and a perfect
person to answer peak oil questions.
After quickly reviewing the
basics of peak oil, open discussion will follow regarding where to go from
here, given the reality of global peak oil. This is an opportunity to
network, discuss, introduce new ideas, and to work together.
"Peak Oil Debrief Grand
Rapids" will take place at the Grand Rapids Public Library (main downtown
branch) on Thursday, June 19th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Parking is free (validated)
for the first hour, but normal rates then apply - OR - downtown
parking by meter will be free at the time of our meeting so arrive a little
early and you should have no problem finding parking within a 1-2 block
radius.
This is a free event but
donations are greatly appreciated to cover the cost of renting the library
space ($125).

contact Eric Saigeon @ 616-881-1330 or
